Q: How long will Sun-In last?
The highlights you get from Sun-In are permanent.
Q: My hair is color treated. Can I still use Sun-In on my roots?
We do not suggest using Sun-In on hair that has been color-treated.
Q: How long after using Sun-In do I have to wait to wash my hair?
A: You should wash your hair after you achieve the amount of highlights you want. For most people that means after the first application is dry. The longer Sun-In stays in your hair without being washed out, the lighter your highlights become.
Q: Where can I buy Sun-In?
A: Sun-In Spray-In Hair Lighteners can be
found in most major retailers. Look for new Sun-In Super Streaks Highlighting
Gel in the following stores: Bruno's, The Cosmetic Center, Eckerd Drug,
Giant Food, HEB, Longs Drug, Meijer, Rite Aid, Safeway, Walgreen Drug,
Wegmans. See a full listing in our "Where
to Buy" section.
Q: How does Sun-In lighten hair?
A: Sun-In is a bleach that lightens the outer most pigment layer of your hair.
Q: I have medium brown hair and want to use Sun-In. Friends have told me that it may not work on my hair. Is it true?
A: We suggest using Sun-In on hair that is blonde to medium brown. What do your natural summer highlights look like? If the sun naturally lightens your hair to a nice subtle blonde, Sun-In will give you the same results. Because your hair falls on the darker edge of our recommended color range, your hair may get more reddish highlights than a person with dark blonde hair. Try our virtual salon to see a typical color change on medium brown hair.
Q: Can I perm my hair after using Sun-In?
A: You don't want to over process and stress your hair. We suggest waiting at least 4 weeks after using Sun-In before you perm or relax your hair.
Q: I tried using Sun-In on my hair, but it did not lighten it. How many times do I have to use it before I see highlights?
A: It may take more than one application of Sun-In to get your desired look. Just keep reapplying Sun-In and repeating the process until you are pleased with your highlights. Our virtual salon shows the typical color change in 1-6 applications of Sun-In.
Q: Is it okay to dye my hair if I have used Sun-In?
A: We suggest waiting at least 4 weeks after using Sun-In before you add any chemicals to your hair. Always do a test strand and follow product instructions.
Q: Help! I just noticed a few gray hairs on my head. Can I use Sun-In to turn them blonde?
A: Sun-In works by lightening the hair. Since gray hair is as light as it can get, Sun-In cannot make gray hair blonde. You can, however, use Sun-In to lighten the surrounding hair which could make your gray
hairs less noticeable.
